Britax booster seats come in two formats. The traditional Britax booster seat or the Belt Positioning Booster and the Combination Harness to Booster seats. Let’s review both models:
The Britax Belt Positioning Booster is a traditional booster seat with a Britax twist. All Britax booster seats in this category come with full back support which is removable depending on the child’s height.
The top model is the Britax Parkway SG Booster Seat which comes in Onyx or Sesame.
Hear are the requirements for this booster seat:
The child must weigh a minimum 40 pounds and not more than 120 pounds. Also the top of the child’s ears must be below the head restraint. The child must be between 38 and 63 inches tall. The Britax Parkway as mentioned comes with a removable backing if the child’s seated shoulder height is more than 21.5 inches.
One of the best features of this Britax booster seat is SecureGuard which allows your child to be buckled in to the booster via your vehicles seat belt. This is important as it will not allow your child to slide under the lap belt in the case of an accident. Like many of the car seats that Britax makes the Parkway SG also features true side impact protection to shield and keep the child’s head, neck and spine aligned to prevent and limit injury.
There are only quality materials used in the manufacture of this booster seat. The booster has a foam liner that absorbs energy and it also has high density foam that provides a comfortable seat for your child no matter how long the trip.

Britax Combination Harness to Booster seats
These Britax car seats serve a multipurpose and are designed for children ages 2 and above as soon as they reach 25 pounds. The maximum weight on these combination booster seats are 65 pounds. Once a child reaches this weight, you can convert the combination harness booster to a belt positioning booster to seat the child up to 100 pounds.
There are two quality models in the Britax combination booster seats, the Frontier and the Frontier XT.
The Britax Frontier is the best selling combination car seat with a five point harness, true impact protection and a quick adjust head restraint. To configure the seat to be a Britax booster seat you simply slide out the base.
The Britax Frontier XT has many of the great features of the original Frontier with slight modifications like fixed arm rests with attached cup holders at the base and a lower slimmer base making it easier for a child to get in and out of.
As with all car and booster seats it is recommended to discard seats that are past its expiration date of six years from the date of production.
